Derek is an experience-junky that loves helping others achieve their goals. A certified diver since 2005, Derek enjoys breaking down the daunting apprehension a new diver may face with more relatable explanations that anyone can understand. He strongly believes diving is the “passport you didn’t know you needed” to discover the world around you. 

Derek enjoys the challenge of diving in adverse conditions like cold water and poor visibility. He’d wear his drysuit to work if they’d let him and he aspires to dive in all 50 states. His favorite dive locations are Egypt’s Red Sea and Lake McDonald in Glacier National Park, Montana. Derek’s greatest scuba accomplishment is setting the state dive altitude record for Pennsylvania in 2023.
