The SSI Divemaster program is where a diving hobby turns into a diving career. Taught at Get-N-Wet Scuba in Harrisburg, PA, this program bundles two courses — Dive Guide and Science of Diving — into the Professional Divemaster rating, the first level of SSI's dive professional pathway. You'll learn to give dive briefings, evaluate dive sites, plan and lead dives for certified divers, and support instructors during training, building the real-world leadership skills that separate a Divemaster from a recreational diver.
Digital learning for both courses and the required hard goods are included in tuition, so there's no guesswork about what you need to show up with. Standard prerequisites apply for entry into the Divemaster program (typically advanced-level certification, Rescue Diver certification, a minimum logged dive count, and a minimum age) — contact our team to confirm you meet current requirements before enrolling.
