If you have the opportunity to work with local authorities as part of a scuba diving rescue team, conduct search and recovery dives, or assist in underwater criminal investigations, this advanced specialty at Get-N-Wet Scuba builds on the solid foundation you learned in the PADI Public Safety Diver course. It goes further in depth with the underwater skills you may actually need on the job, sharpening the techniques introduced in the entry-level course.
You'll be introduced to more advanced procedures, equipment, scene handling, communications, and documentation requirements for public safety diving operations. Across four open water dives, you'll continue practicing compass navigation, knot tying, arc search techniques, victim recovery, rope-pull communications, and rescue techniques for a distressed public safety diver, along with additional skills beyond the entry-level course. To enroll, you must already be certified as a PADI Public Safety Diver and at least 18 years old. The required manual is included in the course price.
