There's nothing quite like descending onto a wreck. These sunken structures attract unusually dense concentrations of marine life while offering a genuine sense of living history, and they're some of the most sought-after dive sites in the world. SSI's Wreck Diving specialty at Get-N-Wet Scuba gives you the skills and knowledge to explore them safely and confidently. Through a combination of academic study and confined water sessions, you'll learn how to conduct non-penetration dives around wrecks and artificial reefs, safely exploring the exterior and surrounding structure up to a depth of 30 meters.

You'll then apply those skills during open water training dives, building real comfort and competence at an actual wreck site. This course is entirely focused on non-penetration wreck diving, meaning you won't be entering the wreck's interior. For divers who want to safely learn wreck penetration, the SSI Advanced Wreck Diving specialty is the next step after this course. Upon completion, you'll earn your SSI Wreck Diving specialty certification.
